Overview
As part of the kAI Companion suite of AI agents, we are delighted to announce the release of Changelog Insights, an AI-powered Changelog Agent that enables conversational exploration of account configuration changes. Ask what changed across one or several campaigns, an advertiser, an order, or an app, and get a response based on all your changes in campaigns.
The existing changelog page already lists every individual change, including filters and full details. Changelog Insights builds on top of this foundation: instead of scrolling, you can ask questions and get either the exact changes in a table or a summary of trends across a wider scope, depending on what you ask.
Why we built this
Investigating campaign changes used to mean opening the changelog page, filtering by date and entity, and manually piecing together what happened from a long list of entries. That works well when you know exactly what you are looking for in a single campaign, but it breaks when you need to understand what happened across an advertiser, several campaigns, an order, or an app, especially over longer time periods, where the volume of entries becomes difficult to navigate.
Changelog Insights closes that gap. The detailed view remains the right tool for drilling into a specific change. Insights becomes the best tool for getting an answer to a specific question within a broader scope or specific parameters.
Key feature details
1. Chat with your changelogs
Ask direct questions in natural language and get a structured answer back.
Plain-language answers grounded in your campaign change logs
Conversational flow supporting follow-up questions in the same chat for deeper exploration.
Try asking:
"What changed in this campaign yesterday?"
"Show budget changes across these two campaigns over this month."
2. Smart responses: exact changes or summary
Changelog Insights adapts its response to the scope of your question.
Narrow scope or short date range: you get the exact list of changes in a table, with timestamps and old-to-new value details.
Wide scope: a whole advertiser, many campaigns, a long date range — you also get a summary that surfaces trends and patterns grouped by category (budget, bidding, targeting, creatives, inventory, tracking, lifecycle), so you do not have to read every row.
3. Investigate across more than one campaign
The changelog page works at the level of one campaign at a time; however, insights works across several scopes:
Advertiser — roll up changes across every campaign in the account.
Campaign(s) — ask about one campaign or several at once.
Order — review changes across the campaigns that belong to a specific order.
App/Website — review changes for the mobile app being promoted.
Example prompts:
"What changed across this account in the last 30 days?"
"Show creative or tracker updates for @App_Name this week."
"What changed for @Order_Name this week?"
How to access Changelog Insights
Changelog Insights are accessible from several places in the platform:
Campaigns list page: select one or several campaigns and click the Changelogs Insights button or open the chat from the edit menu for one campaign.
2. Campaign details page: open the Options menu and select Changelog Insights.
3. Changelog markers on the dashboard: open Changelog Insights from the dashboard marker to investigate changes for the selected date.
Tips for expert users
Flexible temporal analysis: While the agent looks at the previous 72 hours by default, you can specify broader ranges like "past two weeks," "last Saturday," or "during May", and similar variations.
Custom campaign grouping: Highlight a specific collection of campaigns from the main list to focus your inquiry on that precise selection.
Deep-dive into specific variables: isolate particular updates across all entities by asking targeted prompts such as, “Display all modifications to budgets.”
