Running Connected TV (CTV) campaigns with Kayzen requires a CTV-specific AppsFlyer setup that differs from a standard mobile integration. Because a CTV impression is served on a television but the install happens on a phone or tablet, attribution must work across devices. This guide focuses on what is unique to CTV — cross-platform view-through attribution, the OneLink template, and the tracking link. For the base partner setup that CTV builds on, we point to the existing mobile integration guide rather than repeating it.
Why CTV is different from mobile: A mobile integration attributes a click or impression on the same device as the install. CTV cannot—the ad and the install occur on different devices. AppsFlyer OneLink allows the relevant app destinations, such as iOS and Android, to be grouped under a single template for cross-platform attribution. AppsFlyer uses this template to identify the CTV impression and match it to subsequent mobile app installs using probabilistic attribution. This is why cross-platform equal attribution and cross-platform attribution on the OneLink template are mandatory. For AppsFlyer's full reference on this flow, see Set up cross-platform links for multi-device campaigns.
Prerequisite: This guide assumes the base Kayzen–AppsFlyer integration (partner activation, API key, and event postbacks) is already in place. If it isn't, complete the Integration Guide for AppsFlyer first, then return here for the CTV-specific steps.
1. Integration Tab
Go to Collaborate > Active Integrations and select Kayzen. Confirm the base setup is in place (Activate Partner ON, your app-specific event API key entered, and in-app event postbacks configured). Full detail on these is in the mobile integration guide. Then enable the following CTV-specific settings on the integration page:
Toggle Install View-Through Attribution ON.
For iOS, please keep Advanced Privacy OFF.
Toggle Cross-Platform Equal Attribution Priority ON.
Set the Equal Attribution Priority Lookback Window. Recommended: 6 hours. Within this window a CTV impression is given the same attribution priority as a probabilistic click.
Why enable Equal Priority: By default a CTV impression is AppsFlyer's lowest-priority touchpoint, so almost any click outranks it. Equal Priority lets the CTV impression tie with a probabilistic click (most recent touch wins), removing that disadvantage. See AppsFlyer's attribution model for the full waterfall.
2. Attribution Link
First, create a CTV OneLink template. Navigate to Engage > OneLink Management and:
Create a new OneLink template dedicated to your CTV campaigns.
Ensure both the Android and iOS app bundles are included in the template.
Enable Cross-Platform Attribution within the template.
Then generate the tracking link. Go to Active Integrations > Kayzen > Attribution Link and:
Set the attribution link type to Use OneLink and select the CTV OneLink template you just created.
Leave Deep Linking unchecked — deep linking is not applicable to CTV campaigns.
Toggle Cross-Platform Attribution ON and set the Cross-Platform View-Through Attribution window defaults to 24 hours; however, 72 hours is recommended. This automatically appends
af_xplatform=trueandaf_xplatform_vt_lookbackto the link.
Save the attribution link and copy the view-through attribution link.
Note: Please ensure that the same settings are applied to both the Android and iOS apps in the AppsFlyer integration with Kayzen.
3. Cost
If you haven’t previously shared your ad spend data with AppsFlyer, you can start sharing it to unlock more accurate campaign performance insights. Refer to the Cost Integration with AppsFlyer document to learn more.
