Overview
This guide will show you how to create a tracker for Kayzen, and help you understand the actions required from your side in order to activate the in-app event streaming from Kochava to Kayzen.
Steps to Create a New Tracker for Kayzen
1. Login to your Kochava account
2. Select the app that you want to promote with Kayzen
3. Select App Tools → Campaign Manager
4. Click Add a Tracker or select Segment Tools → Add a Tracker
5. Select Tracker Type → Acquisition or Re-engagement
6. Select Media Partner → Kayzen Android / Kayzen iOS (depending on which platform the campaign will be running on)
7. Enter the Install URL from the app store
8. Select Event(s) for Re-engagement Attribution
9. Click Save (if no further trackers are required)
10. Click Save & Add Another Tracker (if additional trackers are required)
11. On the Click & Impression URLs tab, you will find the final Click and Impression URLs to be used in your Kayzen campaigns. Please share these links with your Kayzen Success Manager
Note: If you have an agency account in Kochava, then for step 6, you need to choose your agency name ‘AND’ media partner as Kayzen (Android/iOS).
Steps to Activate Event Callbacks
1. Login to your Kochava account
2. Select the app that you want to promote with Kayzen
3. Select App Tools → Partner Configuration
4. Click Add a Configuration
5. Select Kayzen Android / Kayzen iOS, depending on which platform the campaign will be running on
6. Select the In-App Events you want to stream to Kayzen from the “Custom Postback” dropdown menu and click Go
Steps to Edit the Postback
The below steps must be repeated for each event you wish to pass to Kayzen UI.
Sending Installs
1. For Install Events, click ‘Edit’ (see A. in the screenshot below)
2. Once you click the Edit button, you can fill in the necessary details in the window that appears.
3. Enter the App Name as per your preference and Kayzen API Key obtained from Kayzen,
4. Select a Delivery Day (Realtime Delivery is suggested)
5. Select the number of Retry Attempts (‘3 Attempts’ is suggested)
6. Select the Delivery Method (‘All’ is required for audience segmentation)
7. Click Save
Sending Post-Install Events
You can find the Post-Install Events that can be streamed to Kayzen under the Active Events section.
1. Click on ‘Edit’ for your events in the Active Events section (see B. in the screenshot above)
2. The following window opens when you click ‘Edit’:
3. Enter the App Name as per your preference.
4. Enter your app-specific Kayzen API Key obtained from Kayzen. Follow the steps in this article to find your app-specific API key.
5. Select a Delivery Day (Realtime Delivery is suggested).
6. Select the number of Retry Attempts (‘3 Attempts’ is suggested).
7. Select the Delivery Method (‘All’ is required for audience segmentation).
8. Click Save.
Note: For an agency account in Kochava when sending Install and/or Post-Install events, the ‘Delivery Method’ should be only the ‘Network + Agency’ option.
